Survival gear question
Ive been getting more and more into survival stuff. I have tons of knives but im trying to narrow down what i actualy want as a all around survival knife in my pack. It can be either a large knife or small machete doesnt matter. What im looking for is some opinions and maybe links to what you guys think are good ones.
Any ideas ?No longer posting

Re: Survival gear question
First off, what kind of price range are you looking to stay in? Knives are practically as diverse as firearms in terms or price, value, options, etc. Also, what do you consider to be a "large knife"? Is a 4 or 4.5" blade a "large knife" or is that a medium sized knife and we're talking about larger than that? Just trying to get some ideas.

Re: Survival gear question
I'm going to have to adjust my mind set a bit here, lol. I was thinking like a "real" survival knife, so was around the $100-120 price mark that spabula was in. Let me re-evaluate for a few and come back.

KABARs tend to come in handy. The Marines still carry them.

Re: Survival gear question
Well i always have a pocket knife on me.I carry one of three pocket knives , either a Browning assist, a Buck trapper , or a Case xx. I also carry a Gerber multi tool on my pack as it is. What im looking for is more of a chopper/Big boy. Thinking something like below.
