Oxford is at it again!
Just read an article in the Daily Local that states that the mayor, Geoff Henry is proposing a "new" resolution to his previous gun reolution, being his last one failed! He has scheduled a Town Meeting on April 16th at the Presbyterian chuch and has invited state legislators, school board members and other politicaly connected people! I'm hoping word gets out and we get a huge turn out to let our voices be heard!! You don't need to be from Oxford to be there and show your support against any type of gun control!!

Weird. I was just in Oxford today at the Walmart. If you notice all the parking lot lights are working, that was me.

Looks like OPD is now in on it. Stop by their Facebook page and let them know how you feel. I DID!

Re: Oxford is at it again!
Just got of the phone with Chief Slauch. It is NOT an official facebook page... It is operated by Mayor Henry. I told him that it is not appropriate to have such radically political information coming from the police department. He had no idea what goes on Oxford's web presence. On the Oxford Police Department's official page, Mayor Henry is listed above the Chief, who is next to his secretary... Please call the Chief and voice your opinions of the matter.

The chief doesn't control the PD Facebook page. I agree, call the mayor. The Chief can only push back so far as he works for the mayor.

Re: Oxford is at it again!
The regular meetings are the first and third Mondays of each month, so there is a meeting on 4/8. I don't know if this resolution will be voted on in that meeting.
Boy, I say boy, you're reaching the limits of my medication!
