Good Gun Shops?
Just wondering if anyone has any gun shops in the area that they would recommend. I only know a few, 1 I don't like going to.
I'm pretty much looking for places that have a nice friendly and knowledgeable staff. And prefer places with layaway for guns.

The Handgunner in Topton is great, very knowledgeable staff and good prices.

I've bought the majority of my guns from Boyer's (A.F. Boyer Hardware) in Slatington. It can be a little crowded on a Saturday, but they have some of the best prices around. Knowledgeable staff too; highly recommended.

Donely's in Quakertown, I've been there a couple times and the owner always seems to know what he's talking about. very helpfull with handloading questions and from what I've heard is pretty reasonable with his gunsmithing work.

+2 Boyers,& Handgunner. If all else fails, Army Naves in Whitehall. Boyers is great, never been to Handgunner but... hear good things. Army Naves, little pricey but they can pretty much order whatever you want. Whata ya looking for?

Re: Good Gun Shops?
+1 for Boyers hardware, and on your way you can stop a Precision Armaments. they are on 873 just before slatington. Charlie is a real nice guy and is an expert machinist. He deals a lot with ak and ar stuff. Helped me out a few times.

Re: Good Gun Shops?
I dislike Army navy and suggest avoiding them. I do like C&D on broad street in Bethlehem but the best two I have dealt with is Boyers and Dunkelburger in Stroudsburg.
