Interesting day today.

I had the privilage of being able to see a spent nuclear fuel rod pool today.... the pool is 40 foot deep, they said by the time you hit 12 feet, you're dead.... haha. That's how I got introduced to this MONSTER! haha. This pool is CRYSTAL clear, not a wave, no bubbles, NOTHING. It was quiet as F*CK in there too....

I think that's the most intimidated (fixed it) i've been in YEARS! haha. And concidering my job title, I really shouldn't be! haha. But anyways... yeah, it was totally awesome, and completely frightening all at the same time.

I'm learning ALOT durring my training... most everything i've learned I could goto FEDERAL PRISION if I told anyone! haha! That's what's so cool about my job! I've never held this much responsibility before, I like it!

They say that the radiation level in this water reaches around 1,000,000 millirems! That's 10,000 Rems!!!! People at ground Zero of Hiroshima only suffered 500 Rems! I was two feet from the edge of the pool when they told me this... at that point Brad said, eh, how's bout we leave now? haha. We did, and I vowed to NEVER return to that room again unless under direct orders (fixed this one too)! haha.

I'm not scared of radiation I'm scared of 1,000,000 millirems! haha. I can walk through the rest of the plant fine... just not THAT room....


and throwing ANYTHING in that pool is a DEF. no no! haha.
