I could be wrong but a lot of new residents share similar politics. That is why we came here.
I'm a registered Independent because I dont like playing for any team. My politics are further right than most Republicans.

The only reason(s) I could see to register I are 1) to eliminate junk mail at primary time and 2) so when you write or call your congress critter, they don't know that you are registered against them. I switch mine, depending on what the primaries look like and I even voted Burny Sanders in the primary, just to screw with the opposition and the Republican Party didn't need my help.

If it's Trump vs Alzheimer's Joe (AJ) I predict Trump but if it's DeSantis vs AJ and Trump as third party, then it's AJ with less than a plurality of the vote. The swamp critters are trying their hardest to deny Trump the satisfaction and Mitch McConnell et al would rather see AJ rather than Trump, they hate us that bad.
