Turk Mauser (New to me)
Got this in a trade with crffl. Non matching turk mauser in a stock with a lot of character. Absolutely covered in cosmoline. It was a nice quiet afternoon with the newest member of the family, getting it all nice and clean. Scrubbed everything down with mineral spirits. Not that much bluing on it but has a great bore with sharp rifling. Im going to headspace it first before I shoot it because I hear that some of these old turk mausers have definitely seen their days and can be a bit worn out. What do you guys think?

And some more pics after it was all cleaned, and one pic with two other bolt actions that were out of the safe

That's very cool. Be even cooler if it winds up being a shooter, but it's cool regardless.

Looks cool. You gotta love old milsurps, they are a piece of history you can hold in your hands.
I have an old Mauser myself. I bought it thinking it was a Turkish Mauser, but it turns out is is a Yugo 1924. The importer marked it "turkey" so who knows what the story is with this one.

A Turk Mauser was my first Milsurp. I still have it too. Great shooter!
Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.
