Any suggestions for lathe projects?
I own a small (7" x 12") metalworking lathe. Any suggestions as to small projects (gunsmithing)?
I use it for most of my case prep work, chucking the primer pocket uniformer (or flash hole deburrer), (or inside chamfer tool), (or outside chamfer tool), (or brush for neck cleaning) into the three jaw chuck, but I ought to be able to do more than simply use it as a power head.
I did make my own equivalent of the Hornady overall case length gauge, and that has worked out.
I also made some dillon-type primer pick up tubes so I can speed up the loading process.
I'd like to figure out a way to make an adapter to use a wilson case trimmer with the lathe. Not sure how to proceed on that one.
I admit to being inexperienced with Metalworking and can always use suggestions. I'm going away to camp tomorrow, so if you do have any replies, I won't be able to respond for about a week.
Cheers, and best of luck to all you deerslayers out there. Leave some good ones for me!
