Default FAL n AR bought from Lebanon Gun Show 1-10-09

Here are the 2 new kids I picked up at the show. Stubby was the seller, and it was the first time I had a chance to deal with him. He is a very cool cat, and I will be buying from him more often.

I wasn't going to buy the FAL at first because it wasn't on my list, but I love FALs and it was there when I went back to sort out the paper work for the AR. At that point I had to score it.

    Thanks again Stubby

The FAL looks like a DSArms STG58 /w 16" barrel.
They only make them with 16, 18, 21" barrels.
I have to find one, they are badass. And I love the carry handle.
    Good score.

Thanks Ronnie, it looked chopped and threaded which made me curious if it was a 14......

Nice additions ... I love FALs. Maybe one day I will be able to get one.

The FAL is just an 1/8th of an inch on the non-sbr side. Its a chopped (Very well done) Imbel based Century. I do think that even though they had it chopped professional, that they may have not reamed the gas hole as needed for a chopped FAL. No matter, nothing a few mins with my dremel can't fix.

The bark is crazy on this rifle. The closest rifle I can compare it to (concussion wise) is my 50 bmg. Its not as low and powerful, but more a higher crack with a lot of force behind it. Fun to shoot, but can provide a nice headache if to many rounds are fired

    Its a great attention getter

Here is my horrible attempt at getting a nice picture of the AR
