How often do you vote?
Another thread brought up the issue of voting, so I decided that it might be interesting to find out how often everyone votes. Personally I do not miss a cycle whether it be primary or general election. My thoughts are if you don't want to be involved enough to vote then you don't have the right to bitch. Where stand you?

Re: How often do you vote?
I'm registered as a Libertarian, so primaries are out for me unless there is some referendum on the ballot (which doesn't seem to happen too often here as compared to other areas I've travelled through around election time.) I do make a point of getting to every general election, though. I think I've missed two since I turned 18, and I'm 30 now.
It can be tough to vote my conscience knowing the odds, but as far as I am concerned the only truly "wasted" votes are those lesser-of-two-evils decisions. I wouldn't mind having a "none of the above are acceptable" option, but I don't know where the system could go from there once that started running away with races...

Re: How often do you vote?
I checked every time including the primaries, but this only if there is a question on the ballot. As a registered Independent I don't always get to vote during the primaries.

Only missed one election...that was 1988 and I was overseas and didnt' have an absentee ballot.
Every state and federal election since...though I have missed a couple of primaries over the years."Disperse you Rebels! Damn you! Throw down your Arms and Disperse!" British Major Pitcairn at Lexington April 19, 1775

Re: How often do you vote?
For frequent travelers like me, voting is actually very easy via absentee ballot from home. I vote every time including primaries (except this poll ) but have not been to my polling place in years.

i vote every time.
its just me, and i don't mean to start an argument.
but i believe if you do not vote, you shouldn't harp about the guy who got elected.
