    Perhaps the OP is implying that he doesn't appear to be comfortable in the handling of a handgun.
    I can't say I've seen anyone use a "support hand" on a handgun in that way. A rifle - sure, but that looks odd to me.
    Not "unsafe", just unnatural.

    Is the suggestion that he is not a "real" gun owner?

    From what I can see: pointed n a safe direction, finger NOT on the trigger (not totally clear). OK with that!
