    Default M4Geries at Walmart...

I went through sporting goods at the Walmart in Kittanning today. In the new and improved sporting goods section, I spied THREE, count em three M4 type rifles for sale. They had a Sig with Magpul furniture, a DPMS sportical, and a Colt M4gery. This from a location that only recently added forearms back in after a 3 year hiatus. And no protesters out front.......

Funny. I was in the Indiana Wmart today as I was passing through.
I was shocked to see guns PERIOD. I haven't seen a gun case in a Pittsburgh Wmart in years.

I actually took a photo! LOL

(I was in a hurry, so I didn't look closely enough to see what was in it)
I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

I look everytime I go to my Walmart, and the only firearm they have that would fit the high capacity bill is the Mini 14.

They've had them around here for almost a year I would guess. The first time I saw them I read the name of a manufacturer on one that I had never even heard of before.

    It's a good sign.

This thread is useless without...prices(are they cheaper than most places?)

And secondly if they had a Colt how is that an M4gery?

It's an M4gery because it doesn't have the happy switch, and the barrel is 16".

And even if the prices were cheaper at Wal-Mart than at my local enabler, I wouldn't buy from them. I don't like being treated like a potential criminal when I buy my guns (i.e., escorted out the door by management before I can take possession of it).

I don't know if I'd go that far, lots of big box stores that sell guns do that. Bass Pro Shop, Gander Mt, I think Cabelas did last time I was there, but it has been a while since I've bought a gun there.

I don't really understand the escorting silliness... I can walk in there with a firearm on my hip but they have to escort me out if I purchase one? What if I get escorted out to my car, unpackage it, load it up, throw it over my shoulder and walk back in? That's OK? *confused*

Blame the insurance companies not the store. Most stupid store policies are in effect because of their insurance company.
Be happy you can still buy the guns!
