Franklin Institute?
Has anyone been there recently? I know they did not have wanding last time I was there, but that was a few years back.

Re: Franklin Institute?
How long since you were there? I would like to avoid getting all the way out there, then having to find something else to do instead. We went to the Cleveland Museum of art not too long ago. They had airport style scanners. I new that going in though. Had to leave the cc at the place we were staying at.

Re: Franklin Institute?
From the website. But you knew that...
While on The Franklin Institute premises, NO VISITOR SHALL:
- Carry a firearm, knife, explosive, or other dangerous or deadly weapon, either openly or concealed, on the premises. The prohibition on firearms applies to all visitors, including those with firearm permits, but not to on duty law enforcement personnel who are authorized to carry firearms.

Re: Franklin Institute?
Update:
As of now, there was no wanding or other security checkpoint at the Franklin Institute. There were several security guards, but none of them interacted with us. We had also decided to go to the Eastern State Penitentiary while we were in the area. It's an interesting place to visit for the historical tour. No security of any kind there during regular hours, although I did read that there is wanding during the terror behind the walls events. Against my better judgement, I had decided to leave my cc at home. Not enough info on short notice to risk not getting in after traveling all the way out there. Turns out it would have been fine though. Other than lots of areas in center city smelling like stale piss or weed, we did not have any issues."The Intelligence Of The People Is The Security Of The Nation" We're doomed!
