    Default Sub-Compact or Compact .45ACP

I was wondering what would be a good pistol to buy for IWB concealed carry? My requirements would be that it needs to be a .45ACP, durable, concealable, and be able to handle the +P hollow point ammo. I was thinking about the Glock 30SF, but I'm not huge on the Glock grip angle. Anyone have any other recommendations?

Here's your .45 carry gun right here, just put up for sale by "tacticalreload". FWIW I've done business with him before, great guy who really knows his stuff.

That doesn't look half bad... barrel looks kind of weird though, like it's bubbled at the end.

forgot the XD .45 came as a compact model also. even still it seems kind of big, i'd have to see one first but it may be a good option.

The xd-45 compact is very concealable. It is no bigger than a g19. I love my xd-45 compact and full size.

I could be way wrong, but I believe that has a "bull barrel", more common on the 1911, and I believe it is supposed to aid in accuracy somehow. That may all be incorrect but I think thats what it is.

I think the "bull barrel" is to allow the barrel to lock up with the slide so that after every shot it seats the same way every time making the possiblity of the slide and barrel moving serperately while in battery not possible. The added weight of the barrel will also help some with muzzle rise when firing.

ETA...This type of bull barrel is not common on 1911s most 1911s have a straight barrel and some modified or custom 1911s have a tapered barrel which is not the same as this type of barrel. Some 1911 "like" guns may have this type of barrel though.

IMO the best concealable and reliable .45 is the Kahr P45. I know the PM45 is a little smaller but the P45 conceals just as nice. Unless you find a great deal though you arent going to find one for under 500. That Smith did look interesting though.
