Default what to do, with my 10/22

Yea I know it rhymes, whatever

So over Christmas I accumulated $200 in cabelas gift cards. so im up looking around at guns (which they are pretty much dry on anything under $400) and i decided on a 10/22 they were selling for $199. The whole reason i went with the 10/22 was I had seen the Krinker Plinker at a gun show, and thought it was pretty damn cool looking. only problem is, its $350.

So what other "kits" are out there for the 10/22? I want to keep my options open

Options are endless. I had a bullpup stock on one of mine once. It looked cool but I did not care for the trigger pull. So I took it off and sold it.

I had another that had a decent folding stock on it.

Again the choices are only limited to your wallet.

Just get the gun now. It's $199.00, you have $200.00, it's perfect.
I've seen some really cool 10/22 mods, but you can start dumping a lot of money into it.
Shoot it, have fun with it, keep your eyes open, you'll see something you'll want to do with it.
Or maybe not, I like mine just the way it is. If I do anything at all with mine it'll probably be the trigger and nothing else.

I don't have a short temper, I just have a quick reaction to bullshit.

o i already bought it, i couldnt resist a .22lr with a 50rd mag . cant wait to get out and shoot it. looking around it looks like some people are putting these little guns inside airsoft stocks (p90, g36...) anyone ever try that? sounds like it might be a bit a jerry rig type of deal

I've seen a 2/3 scale MG42 kit for about $150 I think it was... 93% on the coolness factor, especially at home with a string of linked up .223 attached to the reciever to make it look like a 'real' MG

    Found it.... muhaahaahaa http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/c...1&kwtid=243533

By far the coolest kit I've seen for one

I tried the ATI Dragunov stock on my 10/22 and hated it. It felt flimsy.

Go with a Tapco Fusion. They used to call it the T6, but it's the same stock. http://www.tapco.com/proddesc.aspx?I...4-527196389cbd

It comes with 2 buttstock connectors. straight and angled.

Here's one of my posts from another thread.

    Thank You Norman!
I'm getting a 10/22 for my birthday in a few weeks and was looking at the bullpup. Glad I just bought the 50rd mags and left that out of the order.

I really, really like Napalm's set up in that last pic.

I'm sersiously contemplating getting the Hogue overmolded stock and putting a carbon fiber .920" barrel on mine to try to make it a little more of a target type rifle. Right now Midway has the stock that I want on sale for $54.99 and the barrel that I've been thinking about from Volquartsen for $234 but there are cheaper options.

This the one that I modified. It has a clark bull barrel with the houge overmold stock. I also replaced a bunch of the firing group. I put in a titanium fireing pin and extractor.

I used mostly volquartsen stuff in the firing group.

It is also a volquartsen scope mount. It screws into the receiver and the barrel.
