Wanted: Empty chamber flag
Looking for a empty chamber flag to use while at the range. Also may be called a empty chamber indicator, chamber flag or unloaded flag.

Re: Wanted: Empty chamber flag
I have one from my CMP shoots at my club. (has CMP molded into it)
I'm going to shoot in the morning and I'll ask when I'm there where you could get one.
Chances are, someone else will beat me to it (helping you) but thought I'd post this so you know someone IS looking.

Re: Wanted: Empty chamber flag
Suggestion:
stop by your local autoparts store, or industrial supply house.
Buy fluorescent yellow or orange LARGE zipties
thats what I use for chamber flags to indicate an empty chamber
visible at a distance, and also longer and useable to lock an action open
I use 8" 50lb Fluorescent ID ties, they have a larger head that can be written on.
cheaper at 100 pcs for under $10 too.
do a web search.
other option is $4.80 EACH fro a real one:

Re: Wanted: Empty chamber flag
Thanks JayBell. Zipties are like duct tape, can be used for everything..I'll have to try and find some locally but I don't need a 100.

Re: Wanted: Empty chamber flag
This may be a little late, but only $1.25 here. Some other styles as well.

Re: Wanted: Empty chamber flag
Thanks for the link Rick.
jules, I have one in my collection. I like it but IMO to get the full benefit of it you'd have to get (or make) a notched selector lever to hold the bolt open. BlackJack buffers makes one if I recall they are like $30. Otherwise, when you dump the mag the bolt slams foreward anyway. To me it would be faster to slide the selector lever up to hold the bolt, dump the mag, recharge, slide the lever and shoot. Rather than attempt to fire, click, rack bolt, empty, dump the mag, re-rack bolt, shoot. You can make the chinese and other mags "bolt hold open" too. Just dremel out the small bumps near the top on the inside."The world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil but, because of the people who do nothing about them."
