Don't concentrate on the carrying aspect. Concentrate on the if you happen to have a pistol in the car, if you happen to have loaded magazines on the way to the range, if you ever want to OC, etc.

One of the big "selling" points of the LTCF is that it exempts you from so many arcane arbitrary laws that it is good to have if you own guns period, carrying is just a bonus.

Some of those arcane arbitrary laws can see a person in prison, why any person eligible for a LTCF doesn't have one really amazes me, I suppose too many people don't know how much trouble they can be in for some things that are so innocuous. I was in fact guilty of this myself at one time.
