GP100 .38
Hello, kinda new here, but just wanted to show off my kinda rare find from my local shop Hot Shot Sports in schnecksville, great folks there.
An ex-NY police .38 it was matte SS , when I got it , but I went crazy with the gun-brite and dremel(obvious).
This is the first non .45 I`ve purchased, its for personal protection only

Re: GP100 .38
Good looking Ruger, I never knew they made a GP in .38spec. Do you know if they did a run for NYPD or was it a standard item?
Good luck with it, looks like a keeper.NRA for life.

Re: GP100 .38
Yes it was a special run for NYPD, I was told that law enforcement cannot use .357(not sure exactly why though) so they made a .38 GP just for them, it also can fire .38+p . This is a double action only (see hammer).

Looks like you've got a real nice combat revolver there. Now all you need are a set of Hogue grips and a Millet front sight with an orange stripe.
