FD-258 cards on Amazon
I saw in another thread that Fudmottin had posted...
"Found out from HiredGoon that Amazon sells boxes of 50 for $25. So I ordered those"
I thought that it was some good info for everyone to have. It looks like you would just have to type in the ORI info yourself. Seems like a good deal since I'm still waiting for the requested Form 1 packet I ordered over a month ago (I've come up with other sources for them in the meantime). Anyways check the link...

Re: FD-258 cards on Amazon
At the time I ordered the cards from Amazon, the super saver discount was available. So free shipping! Just takes a little longer. Amazon sent me a shipping notification e-mail saying that I should expect my order to arrive on the 17th.
So it looks like none of my Form-1 paperwork will be from the BATFE. PDFs for the Form-1 and Certificate of Compliance and FD-258 cards from Amazon where I will enter the correct ORI for myself.
My last time through this process was in 1999 for a Form-4 transfer of a suppressor. At the time, the State Police did prints free of charge and used a nice machine that doesn't leave ink on your fingers.

Re: FD-258 cards on Amazon
In case anyone is interested, I have my cards now.
I've been busy with many things, so I haven't started my Form-1 stuff yet. I think I also need an LTCF, so I have to get that renewed first.
No hurry. I've been spending money like a mad fool on machine tools. When I get to building some F1 cans (yes, more than one now), they will be worth the $200 tax stamp.
Gotta learn how to use those machines. Mini-Lathe, Mini-Mill, bench top drill press... And tooling!!! Still need more stuff. I swear this is an addiction.
I hang out at Silencer Talk under the same name. I'm generally in the smithing section or the talk section. It's not a bad place to visit. I have learned quite a lot over there. Anyone thinking of doing an F1 can should certainly join.
