Bucks county not renewing LTCF
I just got back from the Bucks County Court House. I am pissed off!
Went there to renew my LTCF which will expire in July. I have not received a 'renewal letter', but I do not have to get a reminder from the nanny state to stay on top of my affairs.
Parking is close by in the Publicly-funded Court House lot. Nice parking lot. But there are now signs up that "Bucks county will be soon be charging for parking at a date TBD". Screw you, I OWN that lot, as a tax-paying resident of this county, that is my property!
I walk uphill to the Court House, and find the door for the lowly citizens. I walk in, the place is deserted except for two fat-asses in uniforms at the far end of the large room, and a 'screener operator' who I can't see behind the machine. One of the fat-asses yells to me, "What are you here for?" I answered 'LTCF' , suppressing the desire to yell "GUN" in a Court House. He leans his overfed body on two elbows on the counter, he cannot be bothered to waddle ten feet closer, and asks "New , or renewal?" I told him "renewal". He says ," Yeah, we aren't doing those because the system is overwhelmed. The Sheriff is probably going to extend them six months, so you are good." I answer with, "One that's not legal, two, I travel out of state and another state is not going to honor an expired license. I need to renew it.". Go home and read the Sheriffs webpage, it's all explained there." I had just done that this morning and told him so. He laughed. Then he says, "Have a nice day!"
I turned to leave, middle finger fully extended for every one to see and yelled , "Yeah, kiss my curvy, white ass!" and walked out. I fully expected to get tackled but I guess the 'lazy' in the fatass overcame his need to be a tyrant today.
I took a ride back home and on the way, remembering that Meghan RINO Schroeder is begging for votes to get re-elected Bucks County Representative, I diverted to her office. Note on the door says 'covid blah blah blah , email us, leave a message , check us out on Fuckbook, be sure to vote for Meghan!'
I have had the LTCF for more than three decades. I know the law on it. There is nothing in there about "shall issue extensions at will" but there is a "SHALL ISSUE' clause. The website mentions the Governor has extended the expiration date ( http://www.buckscounty.org/governmen...f/CarryLicense), but even that is illegal if you read the law as written. I,m not a lawyer, but I do read and write American English and the law is amazingly clear on this subject.
Fuck Sheriff Warrell, and Fuck Meghan Schroeder !
EDIT TO ADD: and of course if you try to call them, you get to hear your phone ringing throughout eternity because, "Fuck you, minion!"Last edited by Manxdriver; May 14th, 2020 at 11:29 AM.

Re: Bucks county not renewing LTCF
Surprised to hear that since I got mine renewed there yesterday and was in and out in 1/2h. What time did you go? I went at 11. Here is what I posted yesterday in the "PA Sheriffs use COVID as a reason to suspend LTCF processing thread".
I just got back from renewing my LTCF in Bucks. They don't seem to be answering the phone but you don't need to call or have an appointment. Their website is up to date so you just walk in during the posted hours. I got there around 11. As soon as I walked in they asked if I was here for a permit but since there only allow 2 people in the office at once they told me to wait before the metal detector screen. I waited 5-10 min and one of them escorted me to the sheriffs office. I gave them my form, drivers license, old LTCF and $20 and sat back down. In a few minutes they took my picture and I was out of there in less than 1/2 hour total. Everyone seemed professional and courteous. The biggest hassle was figuring out what building it was in and where to park.Last edited by Delkal; May 14th, 2020 at 01:51 PM.

Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
