Which do you prefer Conceal or Open Carry?
Gents- wanted to see what your thoughts were on preference and why. I know a lot matters where you live but would you prefer to carry one way over the other? Do you ever mix it up?

"Which do you prefer Conceal or Open Carry?"
Yes.
What do I do most? Conceal, because work is officially a no go zone but they gave me a pass years ago and I'd rather not have unnecessary questions.

Concealed 99% of the time, about the only time I open carry is at the range or out in the woods.

I have two EDC rigs, a P7 in a Miami classic that covers spremeo in the winter and a compact 9 that I wear OWB and prints when I'm not wearing a jacket and it prints. The longer I carry, the less I worry about the printing. And for special days, that compact 9 does fit in my front pocket.

Open carry on the homestead, concealed when in public. Have seen more than a few video's of criminals grabbing open carry weapons and shooting their owners.

Re: Which do you prefer Conceal or Open Carry?
While I'm going to say I don't have a preference, or if I ever state some kind
or preference it is that folks carry without concerning myself in how they carry.
I'm just happy when more folks carry at all.
That said I guess open carry is just more comfortable for me. I have a conceal
carry holster I have used only once. Rather uncomfortable and printed like crazy.
I have 2 pistols I use for carry and both are full size 5" barrels and full size grips.
So If I were to change to full time CC I would be looking for smaller pistols anyway.
I agree that where you live/work/carry can make a difference. Example, I have only
been to Philly once and I went OC. I don't really like the place though.
So, I OC from the time I get up and get dressed until I go back to bed. Every day, every
place I go. Counting through every single "encounter" I have had going back to 2008,
whether with the public or law enforcement, all have been very positive. From the start
I wanted to see if many of the arguments against OC had any merit. Well, not in my case.
YMMV.
I like the idea that some OC and some CC. I like the mix.
I save the flag grips for special occasions or holidays.
Flame away!

Re: Which do you prefer Conceal or Open Carry?
So they see it and don't know any better so they grab it and can't get it. Now you're literally in a grapple with someone trying to get your gun. They've committed. They know if they don't get your gun from you, you still have it and can shoot them. So they're going to start hitting you in the face, pulling on the gun, doing whatever they can to distract you. And then you have to shoot them, being assaulted like that it's within your right. But then you have to deal with everything that follows. The family sues you, and you win, but only after weeks in court. The DA fights you, but you win. court dates, hours of prep, lawyers fees, years later you're finally over it and in the clear. Now, you can start the appeals process to restore your gun rights. None of it is right or fair, but it's the world we live in right now.
