Mag. cap. carry limit?
So, my friends girlfriends dad an mom had there LTCF for like 20+ years. He told me before I applied for mine. That you cant carry more then 10 GD hps ( or whatever you carry ammo is )in your Mag while carrying. It dont sound right to me.
But, I got standard 15 round mags that came with my gun. So, this seems like a bunch of BS to me. I understand if you cant carry Hi-cap mags. But, 15 isnt really hi-cap. Can someone tell me about the Mag. Cap. Limit for carrying in pa?
Thanks

Re: Mag. cap. carry limit?
There is no limit to the amount of ammo and/or spare magazines you may carry in PA.
I think the information you received is based on the former Federal Assault Weapons ban, which even then restricted new gun/magazine purchases to 10 rounds or less. However, even during the ban, magazines manufactured prior to the AWB were perfectly legal to own, purchase, and carry.
Hope that helps.

No limit in PA. Time to re-educate the family
Also, I'll answer before you ask: you won't a law or statute that says this, because laws tell us what we CAN'T do. And since there's no law that restricts magazine capacity, it's legal."Political Correctness is just tyranny with manners"

Only limit is how many rounds you can pack on your belt before your drawers fall down.

Re: Mag. cap. carry limit?
You can carry 20 guns on you too if you wanted to LOL.
As to mag caps, this ain't California. Even in MD we can buy a 20 round pistol mag from a MD dealer, and we can go out of state and buy all the high caps we want and bring them back.LOL, I am a woman...
