💰PennDOT has proposed installing an electronic toll system, that would use E-ZPass or pay-by-plate collection for drivers who pass through.

I pay me fee when I buy gas. Let Penndot ask Casey, Toomey and whomever your Congress critter might be to get the money from the 1.2 trillion dollar infrastructure bill.

look at the audit of PennDOT 2 years ago when they found 4.25 billion had been transferred to the state Police since 2012.

Re: 🤤Open house for proposed I-81 bridge tolls
I avoid I-81 due to heavy truck traffic and the general shitty condition of the highway.
To the point: When Rendell was governor, there was an initiative to toll I-80 which was strongly supported by the local state representative, Democrat Dan Surra, a Rendell toady-minion. Surra was in his 5th or 6th term when he came out in favor of the tolling measure. He was soundly defeated by Republican Matt Gabler, and the measure died due to general unpopularity amongst northern and central PA residents.
Yinz in the eastern half and in the I-81 corridor can do the same. Get up in yinz state legislators' shit about this, and continuously, saying if it passes, they are history regardless of party affiliation.
Worked for us and I-80.

They're back for I-80. Need to replace a couple bridges. Being pushed through Penndot.
Starting slowly this time with proposed toll over bridges at Knox East bound, and Brookville West bound.
Of course I'm sure they'll drop the toll after project is done.
