Re: Don't mess with us Americans!!!
A friend of mine from KY went 2 years ago. He said it was incredible! That is on my list of "must-go" vacation destinations.

Pretty cool video. Thanks for posting.
I wonder if that Knob Creek is where the bourbon is produced?

Re: Don't mess with us Americans!!!
I have no idea about this video - may be fake as too crazy (one part showed a gun messing with his gun which couldn't be when everyone was walking around unless anything goes there!
If by chance it isn't fake..maybe someone on here has attended one of these and can tell us.

Re: Don't mess with us Americans!!!
it is absolutely NOT fake...sheesh, Gunny even did a special on it on his Mail Call
I attended the Knob Creek spring shoot in 2005, is pretty fun if you like to WATCH... if you expect to wander in and shoot, not so much. line positions are expensive and reserved YEARS in advance.
there are some rentals allowed too... like firing a flamethrower, shoot a belt fed...
however, there are some subgun competitions and a jungle walk shoot on the lower range areas that folks can participate in.
Also, the night time tracer shoot is absolutely insane...the fountain of ricochets can be seen from miles away... the one night we were at a local watering hole BBQ place called Marks Feed Store and it was clearly visible
the dealer barn is pretty amazing, pretty much anybody who's anybody in the NFA world will have a stall,
you can also meet some folks, I met John Ross, who wrote "Unintended Consequences" and hung with Kevin Dockery for awhile, as we're both Subguns.com junkies
if ya wanna see some amazing weapons fired, and even more for sale, take a trip, but dont really expect to shoot.
heres a vid of the night shoot..they tie ditching dynamite and flares to stakes, and drums of diesel fuel with explosives on them to make the fireballs..

Re: Don't mess with us Americans!!!
I've been there often (both spring & fall shoots).
One year after the night shoot, a guy burned off 17,000 rounds of pure tracer thru a mini gun (M134) (dialed down from 6000 RPM to about 3000). looked like a neon tube floating across the range. I think he completely toasted the barrels doing so.
here is a video of (maybe the same guy, not sure) cooking off a set of barrels
I think the coolest thing about the mini is it doesn't even sound like a firearm, more like a honda 70 (only louder)
G.E. brings good things to life...
Specs
Watch the brass fall, 6000 rounds:
go there once, you'll never look at another gun show the same....
If God didn't intend us to have guns why would he have given us a trigger finger?
