    Default Disposing of ammo...

Some people I have talked to have mentioned burying ammo to dispose of it.

How far would you bury ammo before you considered it safe?

I will take said "ammo" and dispose of it. Where do I get in line?

I usually just throw my extra ammo in a fire.

Are you trying to make grown men cry?

Put it up in the classifieds as free and you'll bury it in someone else's firearm.

Don't get me wrong, I'd offer up my disposable ammo for free for components before I buried it, but supposing one was burying old unstable (corroded) ammunition?

I personally think burying it live would be a BAD idea. It would be much safer to pull the bullets, dump the powder in the yard for fertelizer, and soaking the cases in water to destroy the primers. The projectiles (and the case if it's reloadable) can be cleaned up and reused.

I have to agree with the post it up free comment. Just specify for COMPONENTS only to cover your ass in case some joker tried to shoot it as is...

Giving the cases a good bath in WD40 is even better.

I don't have access to bullet pulling equipment.

I'll be sure to give up the ammo when this situation arises to anybody who wants it.

Very cool! I am going to have to get myself on of these...or maybe somebody will trade me for one. I have a box of American Eagle .380 if anybody is serious and wants to trade.
