    Default Hunters Saftey question

Hey all, I took a hunters Saftey course when I was like 16. I dont remember what I did with my card, I think I lost it. I was just woundering if there is any way I could get a new Card?

EDIT) Nevermind, I found it on the site. I got to fill a form out an pay 10 bucks for a new one
    Thanks anyway

True, But just incase I would need it.

Also, I wanted to use that to get a UT CCW. A place that had UT firearm saftey courses I looked at online around the area, said you could skip the class an just do the paper work and fee if you had previous firearm training.( Hunters saftey was included. Along with NRA, an military.)

I would rather skip out on the 40 hours of training an save myself $50+.

And if you ment the site for the UT CCW that lets the hunters saftey pass as the pistol training...
    http://www.personaldefensesolutions.net/ccw/CCW01.html
Think thats for the FL one but UT is the same...

not to change the subject to much, but I was always under the impression you needed a UT training class for the UT license. I believe FL will take the hunters safety among other things though.

I think you may be right, I am not exactly sure. I was pretty sure I saw that UT took that aswell. But as I was looking more into it, Im not as sure anymore. Either way, I cant seem to find a UT training class around my area anywhere. FL costs to much $$

Thanks though XD45, you made me double check myself.

There are no waivers or substitutes for the Utah CFP course, you must take the Utah course as delivered by a Utah licensed and certified Instructor.

Being from Carlisle, you've missed a few area classes. Since last September I've taught in Harrisburg, Gettysburg and State College / Bellefonte PA, some places more than once ...

I cover all or part of 9 states + D.C. for the Utah program and maintain a studio in the Pittsburgh, PA area where I offer "open to the public" classes. (As of now, there are 3 openings for _this_ Sat, April 18, 900 am if you dont mind the travel ... you can even attend and post date your course fee to match your biweekly / monthly payroll schedule, no problem.)

PM me or contact me via my website at:

    www.utahbcicertifiedinstructor.com

... to be added to my email wait / notification list.

Include your zip code and I'll offer you a quote for me to travel to you.
You can host a class at your gun club, your private residence / business, etc ...

A PAFOA member discount program exists, so disregard the "standard" pricing listed on my website.

    ... hope this helps ...

Also a lot of other states require the card if you were born in 1975 or earlier. I ran into that problem once in WV. I was glad that I had taken my old PA license with me. He let buy a license with it even though he wasn't supposed to. It's best to have a copy with you if you decide to leave the state.

You got that one right !!!

I spent 2 1/2 miserable years in the Gun/Hunter hating Wisconsin Socialist Republic and when two of my sons and I (they were 13 & 15 at the time) picked up hunting licenses the WI application wanted the Hunter Safety "Certificate Number"...
Well, the orange PA card doesn't have a certificate number, just a course date and instructor signature if I recall.

The guy at the gun shop didn't know what I should put down for the certificate number, so I put down the course date. Three days later I got a phone call from the WI DER Game Warden who proclaimed that he intended to arrest my sons for signing a hunting application with falsified information on it.

    I was F***ing Balistic !!!

Had to go back to the gun shop (not that I ever mind doing that) and change to whatever it was that he wanted me to put down. No big deal the the threat to arrest my sons just told me I had to return to the Commonwealth.
