Default Magazines for Para Ordnance commander style

    Hi Guys,

Does anyone knows what type Magazines the Paraord 4 1/2 inch commander style uses? Is it regular size 7 round 1911 mags or some special Mags, Thanks,

    Nyman

I'm guessing this is a single stack commander sized Para?

If so any standard 1911 mag should work, I prefer Wilson 47Ds and Tripp Cobra mags.

Chip McCormick are also good mags and don't cost as much as the above mentioned mags.

Just beware the knock-off phony Colt mags that are in circulation.

If you have a double stack Para, you pretty much need the Para factory mags , and those are pricey, the only non-factory Para double stack mags I've seen were from Promag and they were crap.

No problem, I got the gist of what you were asking, but wanted to be sure regarding the "Special" mag question.

I ran mainly Wilson mags in my Para CCW LDA and they ran quite well, then again all of the Paras I had ran well, I never should have gotten rid of them.

Yeah i use Wilsons in my REgular Colt series 70 , never a problem in 17 years of using Wilson, but i wast sure if the grip on the para were shorter.

Just got a LNIB para TAC S with the LDA trigger, cant wait to try it out.

    Thanks, Nyman
