ruger or springfield...
i am recently debating on buying a ruger super blackhawk convertible .357 mag/9mm, ruger sr9, or a springfield xd 357 sig. any advice??? i am not looking specifically on a personal defense. i thoroughly enjoy shooting and i havent shot any of these guns ive shot plenty of 9mm and ive shot a 357 mag a while back but i havent shot a springfield or a 357 sig...any 1st hand experience with any of these pistols???

Owned the Blackhawk , it was fun. Great because you can switch between 38,357, or 9mm depending on your budget that week. Wish I had never traded it to my dad

With the cost and availablity of ammo the Ruger would make more sense to me. The only .357 sig that we have shot belonged to a LE friend of ours and was not that impressed. If you are looking to CC the Sig would probably be better.

cc=conceal carry. I was not impressed with 357sig either. Its' one of those calibers that makes you wonder "why?". More plentiful ammo choices that are also cheaper makes more sense to me. I'd go with the Blackhawk, myself.

what didnt you like about the 357 sig??? and one of my main questions is the springfield xd how its setup any complaints dislikes like that sort of thing. i do like the blackhawk as well for that reason its a good gun i enjoy the fact you can shoot 3 types of ammo etc. and i also like the sr9 for being cheap looks good i just dont no

gotcha, normanvin thanks for the input. but im still wondering if anybody has any experience with a springfield xd. i fully understand not being impressed with the caliber 357 sig but coming from different guns i believe it would make a difference
