    Smile Relocation

    Hi gang !!
I have been CCing for quite a few years. I live in Las Vegas and have a Nevada CC license. I also have an out of state PA license, (among others) I am relocating to the Erie area hopefully around April of 2010. Is there anything I need to know about carrying in PA? As far as I can see, by doing research, PA appears to be a gun friendly State. I know it's going to be VERY cold, but I will be closer to my family after all the years of being out West. Any input will be GREATLY appreciated and make my relocation a bit easier. Thank you all so much

As for OC, you are good to go with any other licence.

    Welcome to the state.
No license/permit needed for OC, any state permit/lisc. is good for car carry.

The biggest change will be that National Firearms Act Destructive Devices that contain high explosives above the NFA mass threshold are not permitted for registration Not sure about poison gas Destructive Devices...

Silencers, machineguns, SBRs, SSs, large bore Destructive Devices, and AOWs are encouraged!

I can carry in a bar,
I can carry in my bank,

I can carry in my car,
I can carry in a tank,

I can carry at a pool,
Not so sure about a school,

I can carry TO a court,
But they have to lock my guns,

I can carry in a church,
I can carry with some nuns!

I will carry to my Mam,
I will carry with a cam.

I will not eat green eggs and ham,
    Walmart can kiss my can!
    Ungawa, I am!

(I should probably look that prose up rather than doing it off the cuff)

ungawa, NOW I'm disappointed and will have to leave some of my toys behind LOL
Seriously tho. I have one more question. When it comes time to renew the CC license, do you have to requalify at the firing range or just send in the remewal application?
By the way I also went thru a Front Sight defensive handgun course this past May and it was truly excellent. If anyone can take advantage of that course I HIGHLY recommend it

There is no training or qualification course requirement in PA for your License To Carry Firearms. You should start calling it LTCF now.

Good for you on getting some serious training. Welcome to PA. We need more like you.

    ^^^ what he said^^^

If you fail to call it a LTCF here, you'll start another infamous CCW v. LTCF debate. We have plenty of those as it is. Lol.

    Welcome to the board.
