Default Visiting PA in Oct will be Carrying Concealed

    Hello Everyone,

All the posts I have read are old on this subject but I am sure you are sick of answering it. I just wanted to know exactly where I can and can't carry concealed. I will be visiting my relatives in Wilkes-barre the weekend of Oct 31st. I just want to make sure I don't do anything stupid. I am a concealed carry holder with my Non-Resident Permit from Virginia. This will be my first time concealed carrying. Thanks.

Awesome, thanks. I didn't think that was the most up to date. I noticed the revised date. Now about the 1000ft from a school. If I drive through a school zone is that illegal.

No, if you have a license/permit that is valid in PA you can legally carry while driving through a school zone (this exemption is actually in the Federal statutes).

You need a license to carry (open or concealed) in a vehicle.

You'll find very few other restrictions in PA. Schools, courthouses, casinos. No restrictions on restaurants that serve alcohol, or even bars (still a bad idea, of course). If a "no guns" sign is posted at a business they can ask you to leave and have you arrested for trespassing if you refuse. But I don't recall ever having seen one.

    Enjoy your visit.

    Don

Really? Assuming you're drinking do you really not know why guns + alochol is not a great idea?
I am not a lawyer and nothing I say should be construed as legal advice.

Judging from the amount of sense this sentence makes, I'm going to assume you're drinking.

carrying in a bar is not, in and of its self, a bad idea

I know, that's why I included the "assuming you're drinking" part.
