    Default DIY Camo Dipping

Was looking into doing some of my own camo dipping at home. I have seen several products on the market and wanted to get some feedback. I am just going to start with camo dipping some pistol grips and possibly a deer skull and if that goes well, maybe a full shotgun. I do not want to get too financially involved until I know I can do it. The best value I can find is this starter camo dip kit for $59 from www.camodipkit.com - Has anyone used this?

Go on you tube, look up spray paint hydro dipping, I did a deer skull and it came out bad ass, I used red, black and chrome.

Might be a fun, low cost alternative. Welcome to poofa

That method using paints swirled around on the water surface and then dipping the object is cool.
I want to do my wife's AR15 with purple, pink, and white - but I'm afraid of screwing it up.
I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Don't even think twice, it's really easy. Practice with someting disposable, try different amounts of paint. If there is a void in the scheme when you dunk it, use a stick, pull some paint from side of container to the right spot on the water and lift the project up through the paint. If I could navigate the site better on my phone, I'd post pics. It really is easy peasy.

Watch your paint saturation on the water, if you want a base coat to show, you'll need voids in the water/ paint area. Ie gun is base white, you'll need clear water showing between pink and purple so it just doesn't come out pink and purple. Pm me if you want help or I'll be happy to text you pics.
