    Default How do you wear your Serpa?

    I got a Serpa for the G30 today and, while experimenting, wondered how you guys prefer it for either OC or "half-assed CC". Which attachment and a what cant? I went into it thinking I would strongly prefer the belt attachment with one notch forward cant but, suprisingly, it looks like the paddle with no cant might be more comfortable and conceal a little better. How do you like to wear yours?

    I leave mine in a drawer at home. I experimented with it for a while and it just does not work for me. I found out that I cannot hide it very well and it is not the best retention holster out there. In short, no more Serpa holsters for me... I can endorse Simply Rugged holsters, Black Hills Leather and Galco.

    I can't conceal my Serpa very well. I use it sparingly. When I do, it's belt loops straight drop.

    I'm going to have to check into these, never heard of the first two. My problem is that I have found that I actually prefer Kydex or a hybrid (eg. Serpa and Supertuck) so my options are a little limited.

    I have two Blackhawk! holsters for my 1911. One with the serpa-lock and one without.

    I wear both @ 3:00 with forward cant. Serpa-lock w/ belt attachement for public carry, no serpa-lock w/ paddle around the house. For me, I find the belt attachment to be more comfortable.

    I wear mine with belt loops and a medium forward cant. As a side note, I spent a day out in the Pittsburgh area last August taking some retention training. I came home with the belt loops of my jeans ripped, and a rip in the jeans themselves, but the Serpa suffered no damage.

    ETA: I OC most of the time, but can conceal this with a "Florida" shirt.
