My Sept 5 OC log - No incidents
Decided to head out to the range for some shooting today since it was a nice day. Had the XD45 in my Serpa holster on the right hip. I loaded up my bag with my Taurus 85 and 3 boxes of ammo, secured the bag to my bike since it was a nice day and went to start the bike. Dead battery, so much for riding today. I grabbed the bag and took it back into the house to call for a battery.
Headed out to Bob Tracey's world of cycles. Ordered my battery and about 10 minutes after being there one of the sales associates says
SA = "Many people comment about that?"
Me = Look at him
SA = "Your side arm" pointing at the XD
Me = Most people dont even notice.
SA = "Most people don't know that it is lega to carry that way"
Girl waiting on me " I didn't even notice you were carrying a gun.
2 other customers now in the area of the parts counter now look over at me. No incident good conversation.
Went to the range with my son, shot for a while then headed back home.
Wife, 2 1/2 y/o went to Kings on Steubenville Pike, no incident, no screaming kids other than my 2 1/2 y/o calling her sister that works there.
Came home from Kings went for a long walk around the neighborhood. Stopped and spoke with CPD officer who was moving his car so someone could get into their parking spot. No incidents from the police office, no mention of firearm.
All in all a good day of O/C, the way it should be.
Now I'm patiently waiting for my youngest son to get home. He took a week leave and is coming home from MCAS Beaufort in SC. Tomorrow we are going for a ride on our cycles, Tuesday we hit the range again.
Hope everyone has a safe holiday weekend.

Re: My Sept 5 OC log - No incidents
Small world! My son has about 7 1/2 years in, works the midnight shift, maintenance control for flightline, all for VMFA-312. I guess he's been at Beaufort for about 1.5 years now, he and his bride just bought a house down there and are expecting their first child in about 30 days.
So we'll be going down there soon!While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.
