Thinking about moving to central PA. Questions?

So I hate Philly. I hate taking the train into the city for work. I hate living so close to the airport and all the scumbags that keep moving into the area. I went to PSU and loved it up there, not just college but the area in general. There are several things I may be interested workwise in the PSU vicinity. I'm basically looking for some pointers for good areas around Penn State. My fiance's family lives in Woolrich but they commute almost an hour each way into State College for work but thats farther than I would like to travel. Less than 30 minutes commute is my max. I like some open space but im not looking for farms but I dont want to be downtown state college. Bellefonte seems ok from what ive seen but what else is out there and how are the communities?

Bellefonte, Pleasant Gap, Centre hall and Boalsburg aren't bad, and all are a reasonable commute to State College.
Whatever you do, don't move to Gray's Woods, Stormstown, or anywhere along PA550. The traffic sucks, especially in the AM. Pinegrove Mills is another decent option to consider.
