    Smile Custom 1911 Grips?

Looking for suppliers of custom grips for 1911 type pistols. I have a Taurus PT-1911 in Stainless Steel. It is a beautiful piece and it serves as my Church and BBQ gun. It really does look that good. The only thing is , I don't really love the grips it came with. They're kind of plain. So, I'm looking for custom grips. Anybody got a good link to a quality set of custom grips, or even better, a link to someone who will make custom grips 'to order'?
I'd really like to find a set with "Jesus Fish" on them, if anybody knows of a spot to get those, I'd really appreciate it.!!! Thanks, Bob

This guy does pretty good work. I was his first PT 1911 customer and he did a nice job. I asked for the Veritas/Aequitas on my grips (one on each side) as seen on Boondock Saints. He can do complete custom as long as he has a picture.

    Good Luck!

Axitech , when i bought my Taurus Pt 1911 the grips were the only thing i changed on it , yes the OEM grips looks cheap, i put on a set ohf Hogue kingwood smooth grips- beautiful, makes the Taurus looks like a totally different gun, mind you Hogue grips are pricey , 95.00 dollars i believed i paid, but boy are they nice and fit perfectly. Wish i knew how to post pictures.

    Check out Hogue's website.

I got mine from Raasco Grips

Excellent quality, great service and affordable prices! Plus he custom makes them for the PT1911 (mine fit the ambi safety with no extra work!)

I even speced out a custom set to have the main spring housing pin covered at no extra cost.

If you want grips that are functional as well as good looking and unique, try Larry Davidson and his son Matt. Here's a link...

He may be able to do your fish design while making it a functional part of the grip by routing it into the grip. G-10 is an amazingly "grippy" material and lends itself well to this application.
