high standard model C
bought a 22 short model c last week at an auction. early takedown style and low serial make it 1936, but good as the day it was born. just have to find some 22 short to wring it out with. anybody else play with the high standards?

Re: high standard model C
I have no exerience with the "C" in 22 short, but ISTR they had a pretty good reputation for accuracy. My only experience is with the Supermatic Trophy and Tournament models. They are still my favorite tackdrivers.
High Standard target pistols, especially the Hamden,CT models, are still a gun to be reckoned with and still highly desirable. If you ever get the opportunity to get one of the ""Victor" s of that era, you have what many many target shooters still consider one of the "of-which-there-is-no-whicher" guns.
I always lusted for the fluted barrel with the Buck Rogers muzzle brake.
