Question What AK should I buy?

Ok guys & gals....Im planning on attending the valley Forge show and Im in the market for an AK...

What should I look for? Yugo, WASR, Saiga etc....

Im not looking to argue on why I should spend my hard earned $$$ on another rifle....I would just like some down and dirty advice on what AK I should be looking into...

    Thanks in advance!

Go to a dealer with a few WASR10's and pick out the nicest one, then spend the $500 you just saved on a metric shitload of mags and ammo!!

    Search is your friend.

Do a search in the "Rifle" subforum here; been discussed almost as many times as "Which AR should I get".

Short answer is as always; a Yugo.
(Hint; no relation to the seller but there is a too-phreaking-good-to-be-true Yugo deal from a board member in our Classified unless he sold it already.)

PM sent with link to his post in our classified section.

If this is gone or you just can't tolerate the mega-evil underfolder config, then I'd highly suiggest either a fixed-stock Yugo - or the cheaper 16" Saiga in 7.62x39.

Only issue with the Saiga is that you'll have to throw time and money at it in order to make it "look" like a proper AKM.
I didn't bother with this with my own Saiga as I like the way it handles just as it is; even sweeter than an SKS and as accurate as if it shoots guided bullets.

And FWIW; I heard from a trusted Nostradamus that the Saiga is a wise choice at this point in time.

    Good luck in your efforts.

Ive eyeballed the Saiga in .223 also but since I already own a nice Yugo SKS I will most likely go with 7.62 since I have enough of that caliber on hand.

I dont mind buying stock and building it up either....this way I can pick and choose how it looks etc....

I checked out that U/F and I highly doubt it would be here in 3 weeks....but who knows.

You can find some cheap wasrs online for relatively cheap. I was at the show at split rock. The prices weren't great. Online was much cheaper.

Also, you might want to consider the AK74. 5.45x39 is dirt cheap even now. I'm no AK pro, however
