I have a Carbelite on my 10/22. They are solid stocks, but I had to dremel it, so the receiver would fit.

I've owned 2 Duramaxx stocks on Savages that I have owned as well. B&C make some solid stocks and a good value for the money. Especially, when you consider that B&C offers camo options for the stocks.

I personally would buy the Medalist stock for the Remington over the Carbelite stock on your link. My friend purchased the Medalist stock for his Remington and he likes it a lot.

Its a hunting rifle though. Its only an SPS. Not the varmint variation. I want something really mobile, but able to drill a bullet pretty well.

I had a thumbhole sporter on my 7STW. Nice rigid stock, but mine was ordered with the aluminum recoil lug as well..... Only a small amount of filing to fit.

I'd do it again if I wasn't liking finishing the Richards microfits so much lately.
