Tea Party, Belmar, NJ (Photos)

I was able to make it to a Tea Party held in Belmar, NJ and stood on the front line for an hour. The town is on the Jersey shore and the rally was held on the boardwalk at 14th street. The weather was terrible, 45 degrees and rainy with a stiff wind. I would estimate the crowd at between 150 and 200 brave souls. There seemed to be as many women as men and people of all ages from teens to seniors.
More impressive than the number of wet cold bodies standing on the boardwalk holding signs was that about 90% of the cars that drove by honked their horn and waved, gave a thumbs up or displayed a flag or sign. The mood was upbeat, determined and peaceful with parts of the crowd breaking into impromptu chants. The one I remember is "Yo, Yo, Yo, Obama must go!"
Police presence was minimal and needed to keep the traffic moving. There was also a state police SUV in the area and at least one unmarked car in addition to the traffic cop.
