    Default Paddle Holster danger?

A lot of us use paddle holsters (Dare I say a few of us have used Fobus paddle holsters?).

    Any thoughts?

I can't see anything. But, if this is the video of the guy snapping of a fobus paddle holster, it has been posted here more than a few times.

EDIT: Now I see the video. Yup. Been posted before.

Apologies. I did a forum search but didn't come up with the video, so I posted it. You think they pre-cut the paddle so it'd break?

You know, Fobus isn't the only holster manufacturer that makes paddle holsters. Galco, Bianchi, Hume, etc., etc. make paddle holsters. In many cases they were made for detectives so that they could slip them on and off easily while wearing a suit or sport coat. To me that video doesn't doesn't prove anything to me. Anyone can set up scenerios that can prove anything they want, just like statistics, you can prove anything you want to. A paddle holster was made for a certain purpose. If you use it in a way that it wasn't made for you may suffer the consequences.

You know, you're.....correct on all points!

For the record, I DO use a paddle holster in all but the warmest months, and I have used Fobus, Uncle Mike's Kydex, and Blackhawk. Any of these, if mistreated, would most likely break. Physics is like gravity (Both are very unforgiving b*tches at times).

I think this video is BS. The scenario only applies to open carry, and to a guy standing still letting the perp rip it off. It's not logical or practical.

It's also an old video of an old design. Fobus has reinforced its holsters.
