I'd move back in a heartbeat if I could afford it.

It is such a great place to live that the population has dropped 39,500 since 2000. As long as the same type of politicians run this city people will continue to leave. Other than that it is a beautiful city being run into the ground by bad management and high taxes.

Try living near Philthadelphia for a while.... You'll be longing for home just as I am.

I never actually been to Pittsburgh before. Maybe I will have to take a trip out that way sometime. It does look amazingly beautiful.

i love pittsburgh. it's big enough that you have most of the amenities (sports, culture, recreation opportunities, jobs, etc.) of larger cities, but not so crowded as the bigger cities.

the cost of living is dirt cheap by city standards. the crime isn't bad compared to a lot of cities.

and west virginia is right next door...great outdoor recreation opportunities. and forbes state forest is only an hour away, too. less than 3 hours to the allegheny national forest.

and the people who liver here are generally pretty nice people.

but, yeah, the one party system we have running this place is horrible. somehow that's gotta change.

I grew up on "The Mount" (Mt. Washington) and you will never find a more impressive view of the "The Burg." If you are going to make the trip, try to make it coincide with light-up night. It's a stunnimg sight to stand on the overlooks and see the city all lit up.
