When a sign says “No Guns”
The restaurant gun sing post got me thinking… are these signs valid for Concealed Carry too? And who would know? What if you miss the sign, would you just be asked to leave or be arrested?
If it’s a restaurant, then who has the right to put that sign up? Does the manager have to have the owners’ policies in writing?
What other establishments can do this? Is it any privately owned place?

Re: When a sign says “No Guns”
in PA signs hold no weight(except those places already offlimits by law), so your not breaking any laws by not following them. But the property owner/someone acting on their behalf can ask you to leave for anything, and if you don't you could then be charged with tresspassing. So basically if they don't know its there they aren't going to ask you to leave because of it.

Re: When a sign says “No Guns”
Of course order your food right away so if you have to leave you can Skip paying. If in the middle of my meal I am told I must leave I am not paying for that meal or any part of it. And NO, I am not taking a doggy bag or putting the gun in the car. The meal includes the atmosphere of eating it there in peace.

Re: When a sign says “No Guns”
Halfway through the meal you could "accidentally" expose your firearm.
I was going to say "expose your gun," but that leaves too much open for interpretation.

Re: When a sign says “No Guns”
Ive got an add-on to this that I've been pondering for a while. I understand the concept of defiant trespass and that "No Guns" signs aren't legally worth the paper they're printed on. What if, God forbid, you should have to use your firearm in self-defense in an establishment posted "No Guns?" How would a situation like that play out?

Re: When a sign says “No Guns”
No gun signs in Pa are exactly that signs. They hold no legal weight are just pieces of paper. On the other hand if it is discovered that you are carrying and you are asked to leave you must comply immediately, or face trespassing charges. What eatery where you at? Just so we know.
When injustice becomes law, rebellion becomes duty!
