Re: PA D\L linked to CCW permit?
There is nothing showing on a PA DL about any LTCF. What happens, at least in Philadelphia, is that when your name & DOB are run, numerous files/databases are queried. Such as NCIC, PCIC, Protection from Abuse Order, BMV, LTCF, Scofflaw, etc. and there will be about 6 or 7 replies with the listed info. I don*t know how other states systems make queries, but LTCF is not LINKED to your DL or registration.

Out here in Delco, dispatch informs the LEO's if the driver they've pulled over has a weapons permit(their words not mine) and that permit's status. This occurs after Delcom runs a DL.

Re: PA D\L linked to CCW permit?
6 months back when I was pulled over, I pulled out my rubber banded stack of cards from my pocket, fished through until I saw my photo, and handed it to the officer.
"This isn't your driver's license", he said.
(pause while I try to process what he just said)
"This is your license to carry - do you have your driver's license?"
LOL! Nervous and need bifocals - also had just gotten each of them renewed not to long ago, so I wouldn't recognize one or the other for what they are without actually READING what's on the card. 11pm at night with no lights... looked like a driver's license to me. LOL
It was pretty funny.
The officer said "I'm a rubber band guy too" and pulled out a stack of cards from his pocket to show me.
"I hate wallets".
Maybe he could have run my LTCF and got my DL info? LOLI called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Just curious how many cards are in your stack.
I have an ultra minimal wallet. It has the following contents:
1). Driver's license
2). LTCF
3). Employer ID card
4). Credit card
5). Cash
No extra credit cards, no ATM card, no loyalty cards, no photos, no other bullshit.

Re: PA D\L linked to CCW permit?
7 - about 3 more than I would like.
1 - Debit card
2 - Business debit card
3 - Sam's Club card (used to just keep in the vehicle - probably should revisit that)
4 - Walmart Associate discount card (only way to get the discount is to swipe the card)
5 - Health insurance card
6 - Driver's license
7 - LTCF
A few bills in a money clip in the other pocket
I haven't carried a wallet in 30 years after having my leg fall asleep while driving all the time.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: PA D\L linked to CCW permit?
Keep your LTCF in another part of your wallet (or rubber band stack).
There was a little old lady from Florida that drove over a NJ bridge and got pulled for a technicality after 200 yards. She had her LTCF (CCW in Florida) on display next to her drivers license in her wallet. The cop started questioning her if she had a firearm and she said yes (she didn't know).......instant 3 year MANDATORY jail sentence!.
Luckily I never heard any more of this story so it is likely the charges were somehow dropped when no one was watching.
