New Years celebrations

So last night at midnight I am awoken by what I assume was gun fire from up the street. Who ever it was had an auto loader. I say this because it went bang about 15 times then a pause. Then 15 more. This series happened about four times.

You don't really think someone would be going out on their porch and letting off three or four mags into the nights sky to celebrate New Years do you?

Wouldn't surprise me if some drunk moron thought it would be cool to ring in the new year with gun fire. Problem is what goes up must come down hopefully noone gets hit with the falling rounds.
