cruise in the bahamas

so, my wife won an all expenses paid cruise for 2. and she nicely invited me. so my question is where or who do i talk to about bringing my sidearm? or is this just one of those deep concealed times?

Yea, so deep you better have scuba gear and a magnet for the underside of that ship! Not something you want to cross international borders with!

That and the fact that customs tend to take a bag apart...I experienced that on a bahamas cruise when re-entering the good ole USA..

we don't plan on going ashore any where but here in the us, i'm not sure if that will make a differance?

Every cruise i've ever been on has always been metal detectors to get on the boat at every port. Plus theres a law or 2 against it....

Firearms are pretty much banned in the Bahamas. It's also almost certain that the cruise line doesn't permit guns. Personally, with a "guns vs. cruise" decision to make, the guns would rest in the safe while I was lounging on the sun deck.

I had a neighbor that had an M60 on his boat during the early 80s, among other things. He was not a firearms enthusiast but he was an Engineer, Dept Defense contractor and did test the thing out and learn how to use it. Also met at least one other boat owner with some serious guns in reserve for these occasions. Don't hear much about these things stateside much anymore. But I have no doubt they still happen.
