Carrying in Alabama?

Does anyone know if you can take a gun into Alabama from PA? I know AL does not have reciprocity with us, but what about keeping it in a suitcase for hotel room security? Need to know asap...boss is leaving for the NASCAR race in a few hours.

I would not leave it in the hotel room--even in a locked hotel safe. If I were you I'd find the nearest police station and kindly ask them to hold it for you--for a few hours. Just explain you're from out of town, etc, have a big smile on your face, see what happens. You may be surprised.

you can carry in Alabama with Florida Permit or Utah.

My brother lives in Dothan. I have carried in Alabama with no issues.

Just to clarify, I thought you could already legally carry it but wanted to hold it in the hotel room, since you'd be going to a nascar race.
