Default USPc tac. light - XTI ???

does anyone know of a good tactical pistol light that wont break the bank...

I have a USP compact if that helps any. I understand that i would have to purchase an adapter to mount normal lights (HK is so ridiculous, but I love my USP), but if that would be cheaper than an HK-brand light made specifically for the USP compact which $200+, I would be willing to do it that way.

This is the one I have, and it is a great light.
    Stream Light TLR-1

Here is the adapter I just ordered for my USP full size, and compact. (made for both compact and full size)

With the both of these, you are well under $200

Here is a pic of my HK P30 with the TLR-1 on it
Because I use it for a nightstand gun, I have a green filter cap over it, so it is easier on the eyes in the middle of the night.
The light it gives off, is very bright. I even bought one for my AR.

Streamlight TLR-1. 85 lumens. Luxeon LED. Runs 2+hours on 2 123 batteries (which are CHEAP in bulk). Got mine for $80 including shipping. Put a little rem oil on the lens before you fire your sidearm w the light attached. Easier to clean up afterwards. Light doesn't throw off the balance of my G19 much at all.
Light also attaches to my rail system on my AR w the same Glock adapter.

    Definite recommendation. Good product.

What's your favorite out of those? I have been wanting to hear a review on that P30. Do you like it?

Personally I have seen the streamlights and wasn't too impressed on what they had to offer. I didnt need a laser i just wanted a good bright light and I ended up getting two of these. I have had them for about 7 months and they are great and super bright. The strobe feature is good for blinding your enemy and not letting their eyes focus on you in the darkness.

The new Streamlight TLR-1 is actually an LED bulb (C4 LED) which is more shock resistant and brighter (125 Lumens) vs. the old Luxeon bulb TLR-1.

I recently bought one from Midway USA on sale for $94 though now it is back to $99. Good deal for a fantastic light. The quality and construction of this light must be seen to be believed.

One more suggestion, you can buy a cheap Butler Creek flip down scope cover (Size 02A) or any other 30MM cover to protect the lens from dust/dirt etc.
So this is how liberty dies...with thunderous applause.

Same boat, I had to buy a rail adapter for my USP tact .45

Really wanted the HK laser/light unit but $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$, do think I will be getting the TLR-2 OR the Surefire equivalent.

I think I am going to go with the XTI procyon and a KZ rail adapter.

I can't resist the "coolness" of having a strobe feature.

Is anyone having trouble with the XTI being too loose on the rail though? HAve heard rumors and want to confirm if true.

    Thanks
