    Default Gun Show Question

First of all, thanks for any help in clairifying this for me. When I go to a show, there is always a sign that says no firearms allowed in show. Understood. But then I often see an individual carrying around a rifle for sale. I have a rifle that I would like to try to sell at show this weekend. What do I need to do so that I can carry this firearm into the show for sale? Also, if someone wants to purchase it, can I do a private resale at the show or do I need to do a transfer?

    Thanks for any help.

You walk to the door with the unloaded rifle on your shoulder. At the door you present it to the guys at the table that inspect and make sure it is unloaded. If you don't see that table, don't worry, they will see you and call you over. They put a zip tie on the rifle and you put it back on your shoulder, buy your admission ticket and walk in.

ETA: yes, you can do a private sale at the show, same as if it was your living room. Make sure you understand and follow the law for a face to face transfer of a long gun in PA.

No firearms allowed at a gun show has to be the biggest oxymoron.

At a show here in Delaware they had one and I was oc at the time. I did ask the gent if he wanted me to unload it and he asked if I had a permit which I showed him and he said it was cool.

They should just put no firearms unless you are a permit holder.

Actually if you read the signs posted at the entrance to most gun shows it reads "No loaded firearms allowed in show." This is due mostly to insurance liability risk.

Thanks I think that is what they say. I do notice most venders are armed so I guess their show their rules. Thank God for ccdw though.
