Poll:: In God We Trust....
Hit this poll with your opinion about keeping "In God We Trust" on our currency.

Here's the funny thing about me.... While I don't believe in God, I have no issues with it on our money. I think it serves as a great reminder about why our nation was formed. Freedom.Μολὼν λάβε

Re: Poll:: In God We Trust....
Isn't that why it should be removed? This is the government making the choice for you, exactly why we HAVE freedom of religion.
The best way to put this: Most people who are pushing to keep this phrase on the money or to "keep god in the schools" do so because it's their god so they don't care. How many of those people would be royally pissed if someone was pushing for "In Allah we trust!" or to have their kids prey towards mecca during school?
Bottom line, if you wouldn't want them to do it to you, don't do it to them.
(Oh and I hit the poll, but you won't like the result.)

Re: Poll:: In God We Trust....
Personally I could care less, it just worthless paper anyways.
A little history for you folks here since the topic came up, "In god we trust" was only added to US currency after the civil war when a large group of "evangelists" (for lack of a better term) went to Washington and pushed REAL hard to get it added.

Joe... Your poll choice isn't for me to like or not. I see the slogan as part of America's history. This country was founded by people seeking religious freedom. They were seeking many freedoms. That's how I look at it.
It's not that big a deal to me.Μολὼν λάβε

If it's so worthless, I'll pay for you to mail yours over too me for nothing.. (what it's worth right?)
I'm an agnostic who voted to just leave it the hell alone. Find something important to worry about. I don't give a rats ass if it we trust in sheep asses, as long as it buys me coffee in the morning."The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of 'liberalism,' they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened."

Re: Poll:: In God We Trust....
If the country was founded on freedom of religion then there should be no forcing of religion on people...
None of the current religious crap we are spoon fed was put into place by the founding fathers. They even said NOT to do it... in fact its written on some important document somewhere!
If the damn religious cults would stop trying to force their beliefs on everyone it would be a much nicer place to live and we wouldn't have so much petty bitching about stupid shit like "prayer time at school" and "under god"... etc
All of it wasn't there in the beginning and has been added by cultists to fit their own agenda over timeThe first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

Re: Poll:: In God We Trust....
It doesn't bother me one bit. The biggest issue with our government should be IN God WE Trust on our currency.

Re: Poll:: In God We Trust....
Why wasn't it on our money from the beginning then? Because the founding fathers chose to leave religion out of our money and out of the constitution. We really should keep it that way, they had experience and knew what they were doing.
Remember, we are a free country NOT a nation under god.
