CCW Permit Tax Deductible?

Is the PA CCW Permit, i.e. a $25 permit issued by a PA County:
tax deductible?
Is it an "other tax paid"?
Is it a state tax?

I have a nice $25 canceled check to the sheriff.

It's a user fee, not a tax. It costs the government something to go through the whole license process and you pay for it (maybe too much, maybe too little, but that's another topic altogether).

I suppose the PA License To Carry Firearms (LTCF) might be tax deductible if it was required for your profession. That would be the only way, I would think.
