Computer internet traffic massive when logged in
Hey guys,
Yeah, it's the guy who complains about the strange things again
When I am logged into this forum, after the page is finished loading and WAN activity stops, my computer goes crazy uploading data to PAFOA for at least 30 seconds. It slows down my machine and is very annoying.
I figured it must be one of the ads. I viewed the page source and added null references in my Hosts file for google ad services and everything else I can find. No change. So I think it is called from one of the scripts and I don't know the final address to block it.
It only happens on this website and only when I am logged in.
Is anybody else having this issue and any ideas on what I need to block to stop it? I don't currently have my router or computer setup to analyze this kind of thing.

I've never seen any issues with that, but if you can track down what specifically is causing it let me know.

According to Firefox/noscript, the other scripts running are Google-analytics.com and googleadservices.com.

Ungawa, do you have the googlead site set to nocache? If you do it will upload the entire ad script every time you re-open the site; otherwise it will just refresh them as you change pages. We use vbulletin on one of our mopar sites, and that drove us nuts when the board owner updated the version last time!
